The 2nd AMI international conference on Pipes in Infrastructure 2014 will take place from 20-22 May 2014 at the Nikko Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. The conference will focus on plastic pipe systems used in infrastructure applications, such as drinking water supply & distribution, gas transmission & distribution, underground drainage & sewerage, road & railway drainage, land drainage, underground cable protection, district heating. AMI has gathered a great panel of international speakers from 4 continents including major pipe producers such as Wavin and Georg Fisher Piping Systems. The conference will open with a market overview from AMI consulting and will be followed by a session on innovations in materials, process and applications. This session will include presentations from Polyplastic group (from Russia), Tecnomatic (who are sponsoring the event), System Group, Glynwed SAS and Borealis & Basell Polyolefine. The programme will also cover the latest developments in joining and installation technology with speakers from Georg Fisher piping systems, Wavin, Hessel Ingenieurtechnik, Widos and University of Sheffield. On the last day of the event, the presentations will focus on the testing of performance, quality and environment protection with companies such as Kiwa Technology, Abu Dhabi Company for onshore oil operations (ADCO), Pipelife International and many more.
The event will close with a discussion panel which will allow the audience to interact with key players directly and initiate a debate for the industry.
